if you havent already, look up ‘yu gi oh season 0’ or read the first few chapters of the manga. basically instead of card games, everybody solves their problems with psychological and physical torture.
shit was fucking crazy.

It was originally going to be a horror series. Which makes sense, since Yugi ends up killing about three or four people in the first series/ season 0 including burning someone to death in an alcohol fire. It was totally justified though.

Homicidal Yami Yuugi is always the best

Yami is literally off the wall cray cray

after reading the manga i was severely disappointed that the anime appears to be a marketing vehicle for the trading card game
